    Why should I vote?
Your vote is your voice - it’s your chance to make a difference.
Voting gives you the power to elect the government representatives who will make the right decisions about the issues that matter most to you. These
decisions will help determine your future and the opportunities that you will access.
    Am I eligible to vote?
    To vote you must be:

    • 18 years or older
    • A citizen of St Kitts and Nevis or
    • A Commonwealth Citizen who has lived in St Kitts and Nevis for 12 months prior to the date of registration on the voters list

    What are the registration deadlines?
Once you are eligible, you can register to vote at anytime. However, you have to register about 6 weeks before an election is announced to be on the voters list for Election Day.
Once you have registered to vote, you should see your name published on a list of voters displayed in the community in which you are registered.

    Four Simple Steps to Voting

    Step 1: Register to vote
If you are not yet registered to vote, go to the electoral office on Central Street in Basseterre immediately to get registered. Take a photo ID such as a passport, drivers' license or social security card with you.

Step 2: Find out where to vote
You can only vote in the constituency you are registered in. Check the Voters List to see which constituency and polling division you are registered in. Polling stations will be set up on Election Day in each polling division in your constituency. The locations of polling stations will be published in the community and in the newspapers before Election Day. You will have to go to a specific polling station to vote.
