Safer Hands, Clearer VisionCedric Roy Liburd is a lifelong resident of St. Peter’s and Constituency #8. He was born on November 24th, 1952 and attended the St. Peter’s Primary and Basseterre Senior High Schools. His strong bond with his community was shown in his commitment to the St Peter’s Football Association, the St Peter’s AYPA and the Lion’s Club.
Cedric is a devoted husband and father. He is also a successful insurance agent (1984 -1995) having served as CLICO Agency Manager.
He has been a faithful servant of the people of Constituency #8 who elected him into the Labour Administrations of 1995, 2000 and 2004. Over the years, Constituency #8 has grown in leaps and bounds. He has empowered all his people through a thriving economic environment, increased sporting and creative activities and a robust housing and land distribution initiative.
Cedric as the Minister of Communications, Posts, Works and Public Utilities was the lead negotiator in the breaking of the Federation’s telecommunications monopoly. He has also served as Minister of Housing, Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs. Cedric ‘The Action Man’ Liburd’s record is one of passion for service.
