Working for youDr. the Hon. Timothy Harris is a son of the soil. Born of humble beginnings to Margaret Harris of St. Kitts and Godfrey Nisbett of Nevis, he has made a significant contribution to national life - both as a Member of Parliament for over 15 years and as a Minister of Government for 14 years. He has served exceptionally in the Portfolios of Agriculture, Lands, Housing, Education, Labour, Social Security and Foreign Affairs, Finance, International Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
Dr. Harris was educated in St. Kitts before attending the University of the West Indies (UWI) where he graduated with First Class Honours in the B.Sc Degree Programme in Accounting.
After University he returned home and spent two years with S.L. Horsford Ltd in various managerial postings, before returning to academic work. He completed his M.Sc Degree in Accounting at UWI and was awarded the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago Post Graduate Award. He also completed his M.Sc studies and received a CIDA/ UWI Scholarship to pursue his PhD in Canada. His doctoral dissertation was completed while he served as a full time Minister of Government.
Dr Harris is the first and only person to represent No 7 in parliament as an actual product of the constituency and his representation of the concerns and requirements of his people has resulted in the empowerment of almost every single person in the constituency.

Dr Harris believes strongly that in partnership with his constituents, in his next term he will strive to make Constituency No 7 a region that produces:

- Sportsmen and sportswomen among the best in the universe
- Business enterprises to be desired by bigger countries
- Agricultural prowess that is able to fully feed this country

- Residents who will be able to speak at least one other language
- Some of the most outstanding exponents of the performing arts
- Construction of two modern primary schools in Mansion (The Estridge Primary School) and in Lodge Project (The Violet Petty Primary School)
- Improved roads in Phillips Village, Lodge Village and Bourryeau Village
- Construction of a new health centre in Molyneux and the addition of a dental unit to the Mary Charles Hospital in Molyneux
- 1,207 houses built in one term and housing construction programmes in progress in Tabernacle, Mansion, Molyneux Extension, Lodge Slopes and many more
- Reforms to the education curriculum
- Introduction of a Constituency No 7 primary schools scholarship programme, which has granted 120 scholarships thus far
- Development of a modern basketball facility at Phillips and the establishment of an Inner City Basketball League
- Construction of the new pavilion and erection of perimeter fencing at the Mansion Sporting Complex (at a cost of $1.26 million)
- Upgrading and fencing the Edgar Gilbert Recreational Facility in Molyneux and the establishment of the Constituency No 7 Domino League
- Construction of the Black Rocks Cultural Centre in Belle Vue
- Expansion of Christ Church, Belle Vue and Ottleys Village
- Provision of a Community Centre in Tabernacle
- Construction of the Tabernacle Day Care Centre (at a cost of $2 million)
