PAM’s land proposal will force people to sell the land to Grant’s friends

This was reiterated Sunday by St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas who labelled the proposal by PAM to sell land at 99 cents as just another “empty promise.”
“I am certain that our people will not be fooled by empty promises,” said Dr. Douglas, pointing out that the price paid under the present government-sponsored programme “was calculated so that the total amount collected would be just enough to pay for providing infrastructure and developing the land.” Read the rest of this entry »

Search Warrant Executed, Arrest Made
Posted on January 24th, 2010 No commentsBASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Sunday 24th January 2010) On Friday 22nd January 2010 at approximately 5:55 am police in the District ‘B’ area, the Crime Response Unit (CRU) and members of the St. Kitts and Nevis Defense Force acting on intelligence executed a search warrant on a premises at Godwin Estate belonging to Chesley Hamilton. Labour’s seven-mile St. Kitts-wide motorcade dubbed “The Mother of All Motorcades”

On Saturday afternoon, St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas led through the streets of St. Kitts, a massive seven-mile long motorcade of his Labour Party supporters.
The motorcade, which left Port Zante after 2 P.M. via Fort Street, Cayon Street, Pond Road, Taylors Range and the F. T. Williams Highway, traversed the areas of Old Road, Sandy Point, Fig Tree, St. Paul’s, Saddlers, Belle Vue, Tabernacle, Cayon and Conaree ended at Warner Park for a super concert. SKNVIBES slams PAM Chairman for lying

KITTS, JANUARY 24TH 2010 – The Editor-in-Chief of SKNVIBES, Mr. Stanford Conway has expressed his outrage over a statement made Friday night by Chairman of the Peoples Action Movement (PAM), Mr. Sydney Osborne at a public meeting that the party held in Newtown.
Mr. Conway said that on Friday between 8:30 and 8:45 pm while at home editing and posting a number of articles on the website, he received telephone calls from seven persons stating that Mr. Sydney Osborne said at a public meeting that one of SKNVIBES reporters and himself reported seeing Glen ‘Ghost’ Philip this (Friday) morning in the Electoral Office with a man, whom both claimed was there for the purpose of registering for the upcoming election.
